How to Pick the Correct Seat Belt

There are many different types of seat belts and picking the most expensive is not necessarily going to get the best belt for your needs. If your purchasing seat belts for your off road car and you rolled it 3-times in the last five races, your going to need a different  belt then you would install in your Play Buggy or Street Car.

The Black Seat Belt shown on the Right is the one we normally recommend for Street & Play Buggies. The Lap and Shoulder straps are 2" wide and the shoulder straps are sown onto the lap belt. They are worn fairly loose and fast and easy to buckle-up.   Seat Belts Black or Red $47.95 ck > "ck colors available"

The Gray Seat Belt on the Left is the 5-way Full Competition Belt,  4" Lap Belt & Crouch Belt and Competition Latch.
First let's say the crouch belt is not to keep you from sliding out under the belts. It's purpose is to hold the Lap Belt in the proper position. When buckling up with this belt, it's best to have a little help. The shoulder belts are pulled down so tight they would lift the lap belt up if it were not for the crouch belt holding it in place. They do not feel very conferrable before the race starts, but once the flag drops you won't remember there in place unless they are becoming loose. If you end up, up-side down the quick release is easy to unlatch and all five belts unlock at the same time.
We once installed a set of these in our play buggy and removed them after the first outing. Every time we got in the buggy we spent twice as long getting buckled up and always ended up in the back of the pack, eating everyone's dirt & dust.

If you should role your bug or buggy with the Play Buggy Belts, you might get out of bed the next morning an feel where the belts held you in place, but you will be held in place. To many people install the Full Race Belts in Play Buggy's and then don't hook them up because it takes to long. The Play Buggy Belts work just the opposite,  if you don't buckle up your setting on the buckle or dragging them on the ground. When you buckle up the lap belt the shoulder belts have only one place to go, and that over your shoulders.

We like to tell our customers they must have three things, to be safe. Battery mounted with metal straps, Good Gas Tank, mounted securely with a non-spill cap and Seat Belts with shoulder straps. Then if the kid's come running in telling you they rolled the buggy, you can inform them to check the oil before starting it up again and with the warning to be more careful in the future.

Important Mounting instructions: The shoulder strap mounting behind the seat  must be no higher then your shoulders. ( 90 degrees to seat back) and no lower then 4" below top of shoulder.
Seat belt should be mounted 45 degrees to seat base. Crouch belt is designed to hold the lap belt down not to keep you from sliding out below the belt.

One more thing is the passenger needs a grab handle and foot rest.  *Information & Price
